Milia (central Chania region)

Chania, Where to Eat/DrinkMarch 13, 2016admin

On the way to the famous beach of Elafonisi, there is a serious reason for a diversion to visit the village of Milia and try tasty Cretan cousin, based on local ingredients in a very peaceful, aesthetic environment. Honestly, it is a trip back in time.

On the main road to Elafonisi, follow the wooden sign, a few km before the big village of Elos. Alternatively you can try your luck at Limni (stay on the asphalt road after Vlatos, ignoring the last right turn for Milia), where Mary (the owner of a beautiful garden and the only tavern of the small village) is happy to initiate you in the healthy Cretan flavors, impossible to forget.

Extra tip. Order as many different plates as possible and share them, so all of you will try more than one dish.
