Kommos (south Heraklion)

Heraklion, Where to SwimMarch 12, 2016admin

A huge (long) sandy beach, with easy access, very close to the famous (but buzzy) Matala beach, offers the chance to swim very close to archaeological ruins, but you must be aware of the sea turtles who visit the place every summer (during the night) and put their eggs under the warm sand!
